Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How far in advance do I need to place my order?

A: The earlier the better. My calendar can fill extremely fast for some dates and slow for others. I generally suggest a month or two lead time, for wedding months (July through Sept) I'd suggest anywhere from 6 to 9 months lead time. I sometimes am able to squeeze in last minute orders, but rarely will I ever accept an order with less than one week lead time.

Q: Why do your cakes cost so much more than a grocery store cake?

A: Each cake that I make is made fresh to order. I use the best quality ingredients and make each cake custom. The process for baking and decorating custom cakes is long, this is a reflected in the pricing.

Q: Do you offer cake decorating classes?

A:  I do not have a regular schedule of classes available at this time, but am planning classes here and there in the future. be sure to keep updated on my Facebook page and the Classes tab for more updated information..

Q: Do you deliver?

A: Yes!  Delivery is included in every order.  For deliveries outside of the Coos Bay and North Bend city limits, a $.50/mile round trip fee will be added (mileage determined from MapQuest).

Q: Do you require a deposit?

A: Yes! When an order is placed 50% of the price MUST be paid to reserve the date. a quote and consultation does NOT reserve your date, only a 50% deposit. the deposit is transferable, but non-refundable. Final payment is due two weeks prior to the event.

Q: How do I pay you?

A: I accept cash, checks, and payments through paypal via the web. I am able to accept credit cards if and when I have WiFi access.

Q: Do you offer sugar free, gluten free, or non-allergenic cakes?

A: At this time I am unable to gluten free cakes. I cannot guarantee that ingredients in my cakes have not come in contact with nuts, eggs, or other allergenic products. I do have Sugarfree chocolate and sugarfree yellow cake and cake pops, however there is an additional fee and minimum order quantity for these orders as the ingredients cost much me well in advance for special requests.

Q: Do you ship your cakes?

A: Unfortunately cakes are unable to be shipped as it is highly unlikely that the cake will stay intact throughout transport. I am however able to ship cakepops and cookies anywhere within the continental United States. Minimum order of 2 dozen is required for Cake pops and 3 dozen for cookies that will be shipped. Shipping starts at $12.00. All items are shipped with USPS priority mail and may take up to one week to be delivered.
